Suspension travel & chassis DAQ

Specify motion ratio, peak cable speed and ECU input. Review MoTeC, AiM, Haltech or NI interface requirements for the exact acquisition hardware.

02 / STRUCTURAL TESTING

Small spaces. Measurable deflection.

Review fixture envelope, cable tension and measurement range for wing structures, crash-test development, robotics and university laboratories.

03 / INDUSTRIAL MOTION

From hydraulic travel to a digital readout

Select voltage divider, conditioned voltage or current output. Pair a matched meter when the operator needs an inch/mm reading.

THREE WIRES. ONE POSITION SIGNAL.

Passive voltage-divider wiring reference

A passive string potentiometer uses three electrical connections. The wiper voltage follows string travel as a proportion of the excitation voltage.

Ideal relation: Vout ≈ Vexc × x / L. At 50% travel and 5V excitation, an ideal zero-offset output is 2.5V.

Illustrative colors only. Confirm the exact model pinout, maximum excitation and power rating. Do not apply 24V unless the specified unit permits it. Conditioned voltage and two-wire current-loop models need their own wiring diagram.

White/green wiper is a diagram convention, not a universal M12 pin assignment.
